A Love Letter To Pay-Day

Oh, Pay-Day, how I adore you.
My heart and soul have been longing for you every moment since last we met. How I wish I did not have to wait so long between visits from you. Two weeks is two weeks too long. No sooner had you left last time but I was already counting down the days until I could see you again.
I often wonder if you feel the same about me. Are you at all concerned when you leave that I will have nothing left to pay for the unexpected...like a car breaking down, or even groceries? You know I try to keep a part of you aside each time, just in case I need you in the future and for some reason you can't be there...but often I have to dip into it in the days before your return.
Sometimes, I am ashamed to admit, I even resort to your nemesis, Credit Card, for comfort...but the relief he brings is so temporary and the cost of his affection is so high.
Pay-Day, only you could bring such joy without pain or regret. Nothing compares to you and the simple delight of basking in your presence.
I sometimes day-dream of you cloning yourself so that each of you could take turns visiting me and I would never go longer than a week without you...

...sigh.

But tomorrow is the glorious day of your return! I shall not dwell on the shortness of your stay, but I shall rejoice in the gladness that you bring! Oh, Pay-Day, do not delay! Come to me, my love!

I Am Forever Yours,

Sunny
